Lincoln Alexander 1922-2012

Lincoln Alexander was the first Black MP elected to the Canadian Parliament in 1968. He was also the first Black member of Federal Cabinet. In 1985, he was appointed Lt. governor of Ontario. He paved the way for public office not only for Blacks but for all minorities in Canada. He died yesterday at the age of 90.
